Better than Sex Brownies

I have found the ultimate brownie recipe. The El Dorado of Brownies. The freaking most delicious, eat-an-entire-pan, I-cant-believe-these-are-vegan, brownies.

And you know what the secret ingredient is?

Do you really want to know?

Tofu!

Yes, Tofu. That jiggly white stuff that you find in asian food. As i have heard many times, “It doesnt taste like anything, why do you eat it?!” or “Omg I cant get past the texture, it tastes like snot!”

Worry no more, my Omnivore friends. You can officially say you like Tofu :)

Tofu is truly one of the most versatile foods out there. It is used in many recipes as an egg replacer, and all it does is make the food more moist, gooey and high in protein/calcium.

You can’t taste it. You dont feel like youre eating snot, and its GOOD for you! (As good as double chocolate brownies can get, that is.)

Here are the ingredients:

1 1/4 cups of flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ***(I use carob powder)
1 cup sugar **(I use raw turbinado)
1 12 oz package of soft or silken tofu **(I used soft)
1/2 cup oil **(I use coconut)
1/2 cup water
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

Now, Here is the easy part!

Preheat the oven to 350. Lightly oil an 8x8 baking pan and set aside. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, and sugar and set aside. In a food processor (I used a normal blender) blend together the tofu, oil, water, and vanilla. Add walnuts and tofu mixture into the flour and mix together gently until “just mixed.”
Pour evenly into the baking pan and sprinkle top with chocolate chips evenly.

Bake 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Ta-DA! Now go watch Doctor Who while you wait for these orgasmic brownies to come out of the oven. :) You’ll thank yourself later.
